Book boats back on the river

Tuesday 5 November 2013

The rains are ending in Laos and temperatures cooling. We are well into the seasonal transition from hot and wet to cool and dry. The most pleasant weather months to visit Laos are November-February.

The change has significance also for CLI project management.

Roads that were impassable will now be usable by trucks hauling materials to rural construction sites, and building projects can restart after being suspended in late May or early June.

And the Lao Children’s Library Boats can again safely venture out to bring books to village school children as the rain-swollen rivers start to shrink and flow less swiftly.
