Cultural performance by the kids in Nong Kiaw

Young people from our Nong Kiaw Learning Center presented a colorful traditional dance performance three times in March. This was a test to see if there would be sufficient interest among tourists visiting Nong Kiaw to justify weekly performances starting when the rainy season ends in October. Turnout was great, show’s on!!

CLI has just completed another dormitory for girls from remote villages, so they can continue their education beyond village primary school. This month CLI is launching our third Lao Children’s Library Boat. Bigger and faster, it will carry more books and reach villages further upstream on the Mekong River.
