Thinking of visiting Laos?

We are deep into the rainy season in Laos. Up in Luang Prabang normally the rains start in late May and continue thru September, easing in October.
By November the cool-dry season is underway. Temperatures are comfortable (warm to hot-in-the-sun days, cool nights) with only a few showers until March.
This is the ideal time to visit Laos, November – February. In March the temperature starts to climb and the air is often filled with smoke from the burning off of upland fields in preparation for planting. April and May are the hottest months – usually very hot.
